History

Oakapple Landscapes are the longest established tree care company in St Albans, a family run business for over 30 years. The company was founded in 1982 by Ross Parker to provide specialist tree care to high amenity value and specimen trees within the St Albans district.

Horticulture and Aboriculture

Ross commenced his career as a trainee tree surgeon in 1973 working for St Albans District Council under the tutulage of Paul Arnold, the then city Arborist. Throughout the 70's and early 80's Ross attended Oaklands and Merrist Wood Colleges studying both horticulture and aboriculture whilst working for tree care and timber felling companies throughout the UK and abroad, before establishing Oakapple Landscapes.

Excellent Reputation

Having worked almost exclusively in the St Albans district area, Oakapple have built up a reputation for high quality tree, hedge and shrub care in the residential, commercial and public sectors. Oakapple have a sound working relationship with St Albans District Council, Trees & Woodlands Department and will submit applications for proposed work to protected trees, or for trees falling within the various conservation areas of the district.
