History

Oakapple Landscapes are the longest established tree care company in St Albans, a family run business for over 30 years. The company was founded in 1982 by Ross Parker to provide specialist tree care to high amenity value and specimen trees within the St Albans district. In 2025, following Ross's retirement, his son Joe took over the reins having been part of the family business for over 20 years.

Horticulture and Aboriculture

Joe began his career by helping his Dad, Ross, during school holidays. After finishing school, he attended several colleges, including Oaklands, Merrist Wood, Shuttleworth, and Capel Manor. Alongside his studies, he gained hands-on experience working on-site with Ross, developing valuable skills over the years.

Excellent Reputation

Having worked almost exclusively in the St Albans district area, Oakapple have built up a reputation for high quality tree, hedge and shrub care in the residential, commercial and public sectors. Oakapple have a sound working relationship with St Albans District Council, Trees & Woodlands Department and will submit applications for proposed work to protected trees, or for trees falling within the various conservation areas of the district.
